We have developed a new qualification in Retail Management – covering all key aspects that are relevant now and will remain so in the future.

“People who complete a Higher Apprenticeship can expect to earn at least the same as those who go to university, plus they will earn while they are studying. This Government is making sure that vocational education is no longer seen as a lesser alternative to academic education.” – Matthew Hancock, Skills Minister

We have worked with experts in the retail and academic sectors to deliver a flexible and easily-adaptable qualification. It can be built in to your existing management training schemes and it will be structured so as to minimise the disruption to your business.

The Higher Apprenticeship in Retail Management will consist of many areas of learning, some are compulsory but there are many options that will enable an employer to tailor the qualification so that it truly meets the needs of their business.

We have undertaken an extensive period of consultation with employers as we appreciate that this qualification is for the retail sector and must therefore be guided by those with the expertise gained from working within the sector for many years.

David Way, the Chief Executive of the National Apprenticeship Service has said “All our evidence suggests that employers who take on Apprentices for the first time subsequently look to repeat the experience. We want to ensure that all Apprenticeships offer an excellent experience and the gold standard of vocational training.”

We echo these sentiments.
